On 3 March 2026, In cooperation with Dr Jocelyn Bosse (Queen's University Belfast), published the article 'Restore Balance to European Geographical Indications Protection: Evoking the British Law on Extended Passing Off' in the International Review of Intellectual Property and Competition Law, one of the most prestigious reviews in the world in the area of Intellectual Property, Information Technology Law, and related fields.

The article begins by criticising the current over-protection of Indications of Geographical Origins provided by the Law of Geographical Indications. It then argues that an Unfair Competition Law approach based on the standard of 'misrepresentation', such as the Common Law Tort of Passing Off, may help to correct some flaws in the current UK and EU legislation, demonstrating the point through a mixed methodology that combines legal, quantitative, and comparative analysis.

The goal of the article is to revive the debate concerning Unfair Competition Law protection of geographical names, while also recommending a plausible approach that the UK Courts should follow in the post-Brexit era.

From a professional perspective, this work constitute my first scientific output in the field of Unfair Competition Law and, definitely, not the law.
