Today, 18 March 2022, the Max Planck 'Study on the Functioning of the EU GI System' has been officially published.
This is the result of 3 years of work, two of which spent in Munich as Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition.
The Study is the largest empirical work on the functioning of Agricultural GIs ever completed.
I am proud of having coordinated a great research team composed of Flavia Guerrieri, Suelen Carls and Alessandro Gocci. I will be forever grateful to Dr Roland Knaak and Prof Dr Annette Kur for overseeing the work and making me a better researcher.
It was a very challenging experience but the result is, in my opinion, groundbreaking.
